AMBUS Deployment to Opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Library

On April 25th, the Cedar Hill Fire Department AMBUS deployed in support of the opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Library on the campus of SMU University. The CHFD AMBUS along with Fire and EMS resources from University Park Fire Department, Highland Park Fire Department and Dallas Fire Department were on site from 05:30am until late afternoon. During the morning hours while President Obama was on site along with 4 past living presidents the area was in a Level 1 security alert. All fire personnel had to have credentials to be on site. The AMBUS was with-in 500 ft. of the vast majority of the high profile officials and the Presidents during the dedication ceremony.

It was a great honor for Cedar Hill Fire Department to be involved in the opening of the library and more importantly the fact that University Park Fire Department recognized what a valuable asset it was to have the AMBUS on site.
