NJ MAB Units in Action: Vans Warped Tour Music Festival, HazMat/Rehab Assignment in Totowa, and Bobby Flay/Drew’s Bayshore Bistro Throwdown Event

NJEMS Task Force members report that MAB-2, MAB-6 and MAB-11 were used recently.

Event 1: NJEMS MABs assisted at the Vans Warped Tour Music

Festival . MAB 6 was on hand for worker rehab. At one point, the medical treatment tent was overcrowded and MAB-6 was commissioned to transport about a dozen walking patients to the local ED. In the meantime, MAB-2 was called to back-fill MAB-6. MAB-2 ended up taking another 10 to the ED. MAB-6 returned and make two more trips to ED that day. I don’t know the final numbers but we saw about 200 patients was the report from MAB-6 staff.

Event 2:

EMSTF MEDICAL AMBULANCE BUS 11 operated by WAYNE NJ FAS on scene (7-17-13) at HazMat/Rehab assignment in Totowa.

Event 3:

MAB 6 provided support for the Bobby Flay/Drew’s Bayshore Bistro Throwdown event. More than 2,000 people attended.
