Pittsburgh EMS and the Lower Kiski MAB Unit Prepare for the Pittsburgh Marathon

The Pennsylvania MAB 116 operated by Lower Kiski EMS was pre deployed at 05:00 hours today to the South Side of Pittsburgh to assist Pittsburgh EMS with preparations for the Pittsburgh Marathon. The unit pictured in front of the MAB is an EMS support unit operated by Elizabeth Twp. EMS towing a liquid oxygen trailer designed to provide the MAB with a vast supply of O2 for on site medical care. Pittsburgh EMS officials elected to put the MAB in a pre staged forward position with good access to numerous race rout points. In the event of any large incident to MAB will respond immediately to provide a causality collection and triage point. Staffing for this mission by Lower Kiski included two Paramedics, three EMTs and a MAB Chauffeur.
