Summerwood’s LDS church hosted Emergency Preparedness Fair

Lieutenant Ed Roth, paramedic in-charge at the Atascocita Fire Department, also drives the AMBUS. He said this multi-purpose vehicle is equipped to handle disasters, hospital evacuations, and mass casualty incidents.

“We responded to the large car accident on Thanksgiving Day in Beaumont, and transported 14 people in the bus,” said Roth. “The AMBUS is actually big enough to hold 20 stretchers, or 30 people who are seated, or 10 neo-natal units. And it’s one of the few ambulances that can go to multiple destinations for patient care.”
