The Yonkers NY METU bus was mobilized for 2 separate incidents last night.

The Yonkers Police Department MAB responded to two different multi alarm fires last night.

Working a 3 alarm fire in a multi story residential structure, the METU set up outside a designated shelter where 40-50 victims were housed and minor issues were handled. METU also provided rehab and a acted as a command area for OEM and Red Cross personnel.

One hour later another working 4 alarm fire broke out within the city and the METU was put into operation by OEM and the METU treated, housed and operated as a working platform again for 23 victims who were treated and assisted.

Over 70 people were affected during both incidents.

The METU unit operated from 1900 hours until 0400 hours at both incidents.
